Basic Function: Complete all shipping documents, BOL’s, export documents, assign work load priorities and status shipping sales order completion.

Significant Responsibilities:
I. Performs specific job responsibilities
• Ensures Shipments are processed to meet production delivery schedules.
• Prioritize workload for shipping personnel.
• Tracks status of items to be shipped that are in the Shipping area, Final Quality Control and Packout.
• Communicates with Supervisor or Manager with shipment issues.
• Ensures all freight shipments have proper documentation BOL’s and export documents if required.
• Ensures all freight is properly routed.
• Ensures that all shipments are properly packaged.
• Ensures that all requirements listed on packing list and picking ticket are met before shipment is processed.
• Co-ordinates with local courier to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
• Process freight quotes with UPS SCS, XPO and other carriers.
• Process request for weight, dimensions and shipping cost from Inside Sales team.
• Co-ordinate with other departments Leads, Supervisors or Managers on issues affecting shipment schedules, workloads and assembly or component quality issues.
• Assist Supervisor in improving Shipping processes and efficiencies.
• Assist Shipping clerks with packaging shipments when work load demands.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have 3 years shipping experience, Including processing Export documents and Bills of Ladings.
Essential Experience, Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Must have good analytic and interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to organize, prioritize, complete tasks and mange time. Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Must be a self-starter. Ability to work in a team environment. Pays close attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments accurately. Ability to read and understand work orders, sales orders, and production schedules.
Work Conditions: While performing this job, the employee is required to walk, stand and climb safety ladders. The employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and move / push supply cart or pallet jack with approximately 150 pounds of supplies on it. The employee must have full range of motion ability including stretching, bending and stooping. This position requires a sight sufficient for significant reading and computer use. This work also requires an individual with hearing sufficient for communication with coworkers and vendors. Manufacturing Engineer – FOC (1531)

Basic Function: This engineering position will lead the organization in managing equipment, purchasing new equipment, improving plant efficiency and equipment utilization. The engineer will define and manage equipment capabilities and identify new equipment needs for new products and overall process improvements. Independent decision making, project management and leadership in a process development and manufacturing environment will be essential in the success of the engineer in this role. All levels of engineering work from research and development to industrialization of processes in the plant are expected. Manufacturing Engineering skills and understanding of plastics processing equipment will be necessary.

Significant Responsibilities:

I. Performs specific job responsibilities:
• Specify, purchase and commission new equipment
• Define, Document and maintain equipment capabilities to ensure the appropriate equipment is used to produce the designated products.
• Assures product and process quality by defining equipment process capabilities, establishing process standards and coordinating the analysis of product nonconformances and prioritization of corrective action plans.
• Supports production by defining, documenting and training individual on methods used to reliably produce high quality products
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs and establishing future equipment requirements. (Coordinates cost reduction, equipment efficiency and process improvement programs).
• Prepares reports intended to communicate to all levels of the plant that document output studies, productivity trends, time studies and equipment usage.
• Strong team player willing to share knowledge and is eager to learn new skills as needed in the plant

Job Scope:

• Organizational Responsibility – working with manufacturing, engineering and quality

Minimum Qualifications Required:

Education: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering in a related discipline from an accredited institution

Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience preferred as a manufacturing engineer

Licensure, Certification and/or Registration:

Other Minimum Qualifications: A strong technical ability to understand and implement engineering concepts and to perform independently

Essential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
• Technical skills are required in order to understand and manage equipment design and utilization concepts.
• Knowledge of plastic extrusion and extrusion related processes is desirable
• Able to effectively work with shop floor personnel as part of problem solving and new equipment implementation
• The position will require an individual with good problem solving skills, communication skills and the ability to deal with people in an effective and professional manner. Will handle regular communications with all levels of production and engineering staff.
• Excellent computer skills – 30% of the work will be on a computer with a variety of software – Word, Excel, Access and ERP systems.
• Extensive knowledge and use of MS excel to clearly communicate data to all levels of audiences is required.
• The individual will need to be able to manage multiple tasks on a tight schedule.

Quality Assurance Technician (1525)

Quality Assurance Technician

SUMMARY: The QA Technician is responsible for ensuring that the assigned areas of the Quality Management System (QMS) are effectively controlled and in compliance to the requirements specified in OCC’s QMS, the relevant international standards and other applicable regulations. The QA Technician will be the primary contact/lead for Returned Materials Authorization (RMA), Corrective Action Request (CAR) processing, Preventative Action Request (PAR) processing, and to ensure OCC compliance to daily business practices, ISO requirements and other applicable standards.

Responsibilities:

I. The Quality Technician will perform any of the following job responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Manager and as necessary to maintaining OCC’s QMS:
• RMA: Accurately conduct timely Failure Mode Analysis of nonconforming product returned through the RMA process. Coordinate and follow up for complaints and returned product.
• Corrective Action: Responsible for determining root cause of nonconformances, development and implementation of irreversible corrective actions and completion of the CAR form. These actions will be performed in a timely fashion and the results will be reported to management.
• Continuous Improvements: Initiation and implementation of Preventive Action Requests to facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the business.
• Calibration: Identification of all equipment that requires calibration, assigning equipment numbers, determining calibration frequency and ensuring calibration is completed on schedule.
• Inspection: Assist in visual and mechanical inspection of product at Incoming, In-process and Final quality inspections. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of measurement equipment such as micrometers, rulers and optical measurement equipment.
• Audits: Initiation, facilitation and completion of Internal Audits of the QMS.
• Nonconforming material: Ensure that nonconforming material is identified, controlled and dispositioned to prevent its unintended use or delivery.
• Data Analysis: Collect and evaluate data to determine compliance to goals for key process indicators.
• Work Instructions: Work with other departments to create, verify/validate, issue and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:
I. Good computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP).

IV. Good math and handwriting skills required and the ability to correctly complete all paperwork.
V. Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills required with the ability to give direction, advice, and assistance to others.

EDUCATION: Two (2) year associate degree in engineering or science and two (2) years quality or engineering experience preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements – 2 years for every year of college.

Working Conditions: While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and must be reasonably ambulatory. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. This job requires vision sufficient for completing quality work, reading comprehension and computer use. This work also requires hearing sufficient for normal workplace conversation and training. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
