Cabler Operator – WEEKEND
Schedule: Friday – Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Job Overview
Join our team as a Cabler Operator and play a key role in producing high-quality fiber optic cable. You will set up, run, and monitor cabling equipment ranging from 36” to 64”. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machines, solving problems, and maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and Monitor Equipment

Read set-up sheets and product codes to determine materials, adjustments, and product specifications.

Set up, run, and monitor cabling lines for all standard products.

Operate the respooling machine to handle fillers as needed.

Inspect and measure products throughout production to ensure they meet quality standards.
Ensure Quality and Safety

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Clean and maintain equipment to prevent contamination.

Identify and help resolve defects or production issues. Notify your supervisor when needed.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
At least six months of related experience or training preferred.
Skills & Abilities
-
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate production machinery.

Skilled in using tools and measuring devices accurately.

Able to read and follow instructions and apply quality procedures.

Good math and handwriting skills for completing documentation.

Works well independently and as part of a team.
-
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Forklift operation experience required.
Working Conditions
-
Regularly stand, walk, and use hands for detailed inspection tasks.

Lift or move up to 50 lbs frequently.

Must have clear vision for reading, computer use, and color identification.

Must be able to hear alarms and communicate with coworkers.

Work environment includes moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and occasional exposure to fumes.
